Pretty typical luck.
I end up the year with 11 days holiday spare.
So Iv'e taken a few days extra at Christmas & because my guard is down I end up with a rotten cold. Trans-cold ? Not as bad as man cold , but far more fickle in it's timing.
So, new years night. Hurumph.
The Oscars theme was layed on at the Catherine Wheel.
I had the long black dress, the heels & the sparklies all ready.
I can't make it out the door to find long black gloves. This is so irritating & untimely.
I think the night is probably off the books now.
Somewhere in the back of my head tells me foundation and excessive sneezing fits don't mix too well.
Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum >8O( .

Not down & out yet.
I still hope to be there , just don't know in what condition yet.
On a scale of fair to frightening I think I'll be tipping just beyond midway at the moment.

Actually, foundation and sneezing can be combined, its blowing your nose which really causes probs, so learn to sniff delicately :)
A year or so ago, I had a Jess appointment I wanted to keep, but also had a rotten stomach bug. I won't go into detail - its, er, gory, but suffice to say I coped :)
I hope you find a way to do something you were so obviously looking forward to! If you don't, I hope you find a way to have an enjoyable evening despite your cold and that the New Year brings you much Happiness!
