I just heard Beryl Cook has died.
Shame.
I know a lot of folk did not like her art.
(I wouldn't really want to hang it in my home)
,But it will always be fun, approachable & give that warm feeling when you see it.
She started painting around the time I was born , so she is one of thoes figures in the back ground ( a bit like the Queen I guess) who has always occupied a small spot in the background throughout my life. Solid & unchanging. Also one of the most recognisable styles.
Another period of British culture at an end. :O(
